Start caring LESS for others and start caring for yourself. YOU need healing. You're running a deficit and it's your job to fill it. Think about what that really means, how do I make ME feel better about who I am? Some are selfish things, I know I enjoy fishing, being social whatever it is you USED to enjoy..do MORE. Do it regardless of how you feel, go anyway. yourself to go. Go INSPITE of the pain. Other things are things that make you feel good about who you are being, the person who goes to the nursing home or attends church, who doesn't let this get them down and keeps the house up. Just keep working at it. Become your OWN support, get a set schedule for counseling or reading recovery books and gym time. It's like losing lbs, it won't fall off. It take YOU changing your lifestyle. You have to continue even when you don't think it's working. It is a switch to one extent, it's a switch you throw and tell yourself you are going to do this. You not care about what happened, not enough for it to stop you. You care LESS about that and MORE about your own wellbeing. In time you'll acheive an indifference to what has gone down. It lead to acceptance that it all happened and it's still OK. And that give you the power to forgive yourself and then you wil be more able to mean those words "I forgive you". Because the playing field be level, they are as imperfect as you are. Works for feathered folk anyway.
